Default How many kills you have idea

From playing 12v12 this weekend I saw that it was pretty much like a deathmatch. So I just thought maybe Gw could implimite a system where it shows how many kills each player has sorta like a fps game like counterstrike when you press tab it has a scorechart with frags etc. and at the end of the round the top killer and top alter capper and what not recieve some kind of reward like more faction or something. just an idea

12 v 12 had enough random crap going on as it was. We don't need people going for top kills at the expense of the total score.

And how exactly are you going to kill when you are dead? I mean, nobody will want to do any sort of healing in your group. Healing, after all, isn't killing.

Guild wars is a team based game. That kind of system just would not work, at all.

I totally agree. Some people's roles are critical to the team success, but doesn't involve any killing - all the support roles would seem undervalued, while the truth is that they're critical.

Exactly, and the list of support type roles is pretty extensive. And who do you give the point to? The mesmer who completely locks down a monk, and is slowly degening him to death, or the leet paladin who comes and Final Thrusts him in the face?

Ye kill chart is a good idea, like in WoW. The only problem is that it is unfair for monks. So maybe not a kill chart but a chart that is a mix of all sides; Healing, killing, dmg dealing, degen, regen, tactics, survivor, coward and maybe at the end their could be a vote for the best player.

Simply just a mix of everything that finally becomes a list of the best players and the 1st 2nd and 3rd would get some extra money and faction.

I like the chart at the end of Wolfenstine.. which would tell other stats beside most kill.. like best medic, best soldior.. and such.

Oh.. on a side note... this is a forumla for scoring that I came up with (or compile from other's idea) while in a discusion in another thread.

Quote:
In a simplest form.. I would say score would be something like...

(damage or heal amountl) - (damage receive) + your energy +
fraction of overall score of your teamates.

(weights will be added to each type for adjustment)
I think it would work and reflect accurate score of your action. (it check the effency of a ratio of your hp and energy to your action.. roughly speaking)

in time, everybody would be mm (cause everybody is trying to kill each other there would be even more corpses, that each rise up and hit for a roughly 10 dmg/sec)
